FR Viking Bibs Overall

FR Viking Bibs Overall

0.00

Material:
Outer shell: 300 Denier FR-treated polyester with PU coating — makes them waterproof + FR. The PU coating is what gives the shiny, rain-gear look.
FR type: Treated FR, not inherent. Meets NFPA 2112 for flash fire and NFPA 70E for arc flash. Usually CAT 1 or CAT 2 depending on exact model, ∼4-8 cal/cm².
Lining: FR polyester mesh or taffeta lining — so it doesn’t stick to skin when wet
Reflective tape: 2″ FR-rated silver/yellow/red striping around lower legs — meets ANSI/ISEA 107 Class E when worn with Class 2/3 top
Hardware: FR plastic or covered metal snaps/buckles. Viking uses proprietary FR buckles that won’t melt. Elastic suspenders are also FR-treated.
Thread: FR Nomex thread on all seams + heat-sealed/fully taped seams for waterproofing

Features:
Adjustable elastic suspenders: Quick-release buckles, Viking branded straps
Bib chest: High bib front with snap closures at sides
Leg zips: Likely has ankle-to-knee leg zippers with storm flaps — lets you pull them on over boots
Double-stitched seams: All seams sealed/taped so water can’t get in
Hi-vis colors: Orange for full Class E, black with hi-vis bands for low-vis job sites

Stuff:
1. Dual hazard: These handle rain + flash fire + arc flash in one garment. Key for linemen/utilities in storms.
2. Not insulated: These are shell bibs. Wear FR base layers underneath for warmth + protection.
3. Care: Machine wash cold, hang dry. No bleach, no softener. PU coating can delaminate if dried hot.
4. Lifespan: FR treatment + waterproofing lasts ∼25-50 industrial washes. Inspect seams regularly.

Use case: Line work, utilities, oil & gas in wet conditions. You wear these over your regular FR shirt/pants when it rains.
