FR High-Visibility Hoodie

FR High-Visibility Hoodie

0.00

Material:
Main fabric: Usually 12oz FR fleece made from 55% Modacrylic / 45% Cotton blend or 100% FR-treated cotton fleece. Modacrylic blends are “inherent FR” — the protection won’t wash out.
Color: ANSI/ISEA 107 Hi-Vis Yellow/Green — for daytime visibility
Reflective tape: 2″ FR-rated segmented silver reflective striping — won’t melt/drip. Pattern is vertical over shoulders + horizontal around chest/arms for Class 3 visibility.
Thread: FR Nomex thread on all seams so they don’t fail in flash fire
Hardware: Plastic zipper is covered/minimal. Hood has no drawstring — drawstrings are banned in FR because they can catch fire.

Features:
Pullover hoodie: No full zipper, safer for arc flash — zippers can conduct heat
Chest zip pocket: Vertical zip pocket with FR-rated zipper for pens/notepad
Kangaroo pocket: Large front hand-warmer pocket
Rib-knit cuffs + waistband: Keeps sleeves from hanging into equipment
NFPA 2112 certified: Tag confirms flash fire rating. Most Lakeland hoodies are also NFPA 70E CAT 2, around 20-25 cal/cm² ATPV for arc flash
Segmented tape: Breathes better and moves with fabric vs. solid tape

Stuff:
2. Layering rule: This goes over FR shirt/base layer. Wearing it over a non-FR tee kills your protection.
3. No melting: Modacrylic/cotton blend chars instead of melting to skin. Key safety feature.
4. Care: Wash with mild detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener, no DEET. Tumble dry low.
5. Use case: Electric utilities, oil & gas, road crews in winter — anywhere you need FR + hi-vis + warmth in one layer.
